Beast!

The beast in me stirred up ,
The moment my eyes met hers !
So deep yet so cool ,
In contrast to the violent lust Rebelling deep within her robes,
Same bus stand and same route to work ,
Our daily rendezvous .
Luckily perhaps ,I managed knowing smiles and chats formal !
I found my beast quenching its thirst , yet arousing it more and more !!
By the touch of her softness
In jam-packed buses
Thanking which ever God it was !
The craze in me reached the heights ,
When the atheist me ,Followed her to the place of worship too !
I missed her the most when I worked late
Trudged back home alone .
Then one such night , when night had slept
The beast in me sprang up again !
Beholding her , walking by alone !!

A violent thunder brought a heavy down pour
Washing us up to a same dark tin shed ,
Her smiles provoked my delirious eyes
Scanning her body dripping nude .
My drunken beast fully aroused
Almost grabbed her in its grip .
But I knew not that day ,
Religious fanatics in the name of false faith
Had begun a terrible slaughter ,
Riots !!
That trapped us all of a sudden !
Hungry vultures pounced on us ,snatching her Away from me !
While we struggled ,
I heard - wails of law flashing beacons .
Men in uniforms challenged the attackers.
Wounded and bleeding I plucked her .
Away from that bloody hell .
We ran and ran farther away ~ ~

Till an avalanche of tears stopped her ,
Embracing me with all her might .
Her shock but an unknown trust ,
Crushed me - with my back to a wall !!
As those luscious cups I longed to knead
Were pressed against my chest .

A tingle but with a guilt sparked me ashamed .
Torn clothes and partly naked as she was
Tears in her eyes and in mine ,
I too embosomed her , Weeping like a child !!
As she sobbed , I sensed my beast
Falling to its knees ~
And it fell to the ground soon !
When she looked up at me with a glow of faith unknown
It all happened , before it was too late !
I thanked the God again
The beast in me has slept
Slept ~ never to wake up again .
Now I live with the man in me .
With the only hope ....
She sees him in true love with her .
May never fear an unknown dead
Beast !!

Beast

This poem was inspired by a dream that I had on March 9th '1996 and is the first of its kind in my compositions. I wrote a crude version of this poem on March 12 th '1996 . Though my dream did not have the animal instincts that I have depicted at the beginning of the poem but here I wanted to highlite the 'beastly' aspect of Human Psychology. I would like to thank a new friend of mine from UK , whose artistic collection of pictures re- inspired me to include this poem in my site. Suggestions and comments are as always welcome.
